Israeli aircraft bombed the five-story Palestine Broadcasting Company building in Ramallah yesterday morning, in partial retaliation for the Bat-Mitzvah terrorist attack. The disruption to PA broadcasts was not major, and in fact the programming resumed shortly afterwards. However, the choice of target was significance in its symbolism, and also in its proximity to Yasser Arafat’s encircled headquarters in the city.

Lively IDF activity has been noted in the Ramallah area this morning, and helicopters are circling in the air. Tanks are stationed only several dozen meters away from Arafat\'s headquarters in the city, and most PA-controlled cities - Jenin, Shechem, Tul Karem, Kalkilye, and Ramallah - are tightly encircled by Israeli forces. Military sources say that Israel will continue attacking Fatah and PA targets.
