Rabbi Dr. Chaim Rozwaski, head of Berlin Yeshiva University, tried to explain to Arutz Sheva why Jews still live in Germany despite the Holocaust and amid current resurgent anti-Semitism.

"Do you have anti-Semitism on the streets? Of course you have it," the rabbi said. He also admitted that the Muslim impact in Germany is "very strong."

He gleaned from these facts that Jews must continue to maintain a strong identity and avoid assimilation.

One of his conclusions is that Israel needs to play an exemplary role for the Jews abroad.
