The prison parole board announced its decision today against an early release for former Shas Party leader and government minister Aryeh Deri. Parole officials stated that due to the gravity of the crimes for which Deri was convicted -- accepting bribes and fraud, -- he would not be considered for release until completion of 2/3 of his sentence, in August of this year.
