The Jewish Agency has increased its staff in Buenos Aires in order to answer the increasing demand for information on making Aliyah (immigrating to Israel). According to the on-line Jewish paper itongadol.com.ar, 150 people are coming each day to Jewish Agency offices, located on the first floor of the Jewish Community (AMIA) building [See photo].



The United Jewish Organizations in Argentina (DAIA) convened for a special assembly this week and voted unanimously to declare a state of emergency for the Jewish community there. The representatives decided to focus efforts on preventing the collapse of the country\'s Jewish institutions.
