A United Express airplane from western New York has blown four tires as it landed at Newark Liberty International Airport and veered off a runway.
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Ron Marsico said Flight 4480 from Rochester was landing Sunday night in New Jersey when it blew four tires and veered onto the taxiway, WCBS 880 reported.
It didn't strike anything, he said.
The plane was carrying eight passengers and five crewmembers. No one was injured.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the incident, The Star-Ledger reported.
Earlier in the day, a United Airlines employee became pinned between a luggage cart and a food service truck. The worker was seriously hurt. It remains unclear how the accident occurred.
