Prime Minister Sharon rejected any attempts to tie Monday night\'s attacks to the death of Raed Karmi, a senior Fatah leader in Tul Karem. Sharon said that Karmi was part of Fatah, connected to the PA and Yasser Arafat, who are directly responsible for the ongoing terrorist attacks throughout Israel.

The army renewed the closure on PLO-controlled Tul Karem last night in light of warnings of Arab assaults in the area. The IDF also has deployed increased forces along the routes connecting Judea and Samaria with the coastal plain.
