Minister of Labor and Welfare Shlomo Benizri announced this morning a \"Closed Sky\" policy, barring entry of more foreign laborers into Israel. During deliberations of the Labor and Welfare Knesset Committee, Benizri said that he will not allow, \"even a single foreign laborer into the country,\" and will work towards expelling, \"in a dignified manner,\" those that are here. MK Avshalom Vilan (Meretz) said in the committee session that Israel has developed a \"slave market,\" in which Israeli contractors are making a fortune by taking advantage of workers from overseas.
