It is called Operation Torah Shield. Two hundred students from New York\'s Yeshiva
University will arrive in Israel tomorrow morning for an intense training program on how to inspire and market U.S. tourism to Israel. \"You are modern-day versions of the biblical Calev ben Yefuneh and Joshua Ben Nun,\" Tourism Minister Rabbi Benny Elon told the group, referring to the two agents sent by Moses to spy out the land. \"You see that the land is good, and you are returning to tell the news to your brothers and sisters.\"
During their Israel stay, the students will tour Jerusalem, visit army bases, hospitals and community centers, tour the Galilee and Golan, Judea, and Samaria, and participate in training sessions led by the Ministry of Tourism. Upon their return to the U.S., the students will take additional courses. \"Every participant has committed to addressing audiences in order to promote Israel travel,\" said Josh Kramer, a member of the Torah Shield committee. \"Whether speaking at a synagogue or arranging to meet other students, our mission does not end when we return home. It\'s when our real work begins.\" The mission is being coordinated by the Orthodox Union.
