Henry Weil, 64, is reported in stable condition in Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital following a Friday afternoon stabbing attack. Weil was stabbed on Friday afternoon on the promenade of Jerusalem’s neighborhood, in the southeastern corridor of the capital, bordering Arab areas.

Weil told police that he was strolling on the Armon HaNatziv promenade as he does every Friday when he heard shouting behind him. Before he had a chance to turn around, three masked Arabs grabbed his coat, turned him around and sprayed him with mace. After he fell to the ground, they stabbed him. The attackers fled, leaving their victim bleeding on the ground. Weil managed to walk some 700 meters (yards) until he collapsed at the entrance to his apartment building. An ambulance transported him to the trauma unit of Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem.
