The Council of Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza (Yesha Council) released a series of figures recently showing that the government\'s monetary participation in local budgets is lower for Yesha than for other areas in Israel. For instance, while the government shells out 3,250 shekels per person per year in the Negev municipality of Sderot, and 3,370 in Beit She\'an, a similar citizen in Ma\'aleh Adumim is funded to the tune of only 2,070 shekels.
For local town councils, the picture is the same: Citizens in Mitzpeh Ramon receive 4,180 shekels and in Metullah - 6,120, while in Efrat they are allocated only 3,250, and in Har Adar - 2,680.
The numbers for regional councils (those that encompass a number of small communities) show that the government provides 6,580 shekels per citizen in Sha\'ar HaNegev and 6,880 in Ma\'aleh Yosef, while in the Yesha areas of Gush Etzion, Shomron and Binyamin, the numbers are 5,040, 4,670, and 4,380, respectively.
