The tension continues in Hevron, following the murder of the baby Shalhevet Pass, clashes with Palestinians, and the residents\' demand that the army reconquer the Abu Sneineh hills. The baby\'s parents continue to refuse to bury Shalhevet until the area from where the fatal shots - and many other shots over the past months - were fired is liberated. Hevron spokesman David Wilder told Arutz today,

\"We have made several attempts to \'conquer\' the area ourselves, generally with the goal of having the soldiers come after us and remain there. Today, however, was a bit different: The Arabs threw large rocks on us from Abu Sneineh this morning, so we went up to try to stop them. Large police forces and special units came up and for the first time in a long time that I can remember, they began beating our people with clubs in a very brutal fashion - men, women, and children. Instead of dealing with the Arabs, they deal with us, and despite the tremendous pressure we are under, the situation continues as it was: the government keeps on giving us the same excuses, and we\'re below and they [the Arabs] are on top [of the hills].\"
