Many roads in the Golan Heights and Galilee areas are now closed as a result of heavy snowfall overnight. Public schools are closed. Light snow began falling this morning in the high areas of Judea and Samaria, south and north of Jerusalem respectively, but not in the capital. Public school in Elon Moreh (north of Jerusalem) was called off, and IDF jeeps assisted in the task of bringing students home. The road to the nearby town of Bracha is closed due to the snow. Heavy fog is being reported in the Tzfat (Safed) area. Police have called on motorists to exercise extreme caution due to the inclement weather conditions.
