This afternoon, a London bound El Al Jumbo Jet with over 400 passengers on board was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after take off from Israel’s Ben-Gurion International Airport. A few minutes after the plane departed, a fire broke out in one of its engines. The pilot shut down the engine, turned on the internal fire extinguisher and doused the flames. The plane then returned to Ben-Gurion and made an emergency landing. There were no injuries reported in the incident.
