Rabbis and Knesset members are taking part in the three-day conference of the Torah and Wisdom College in Givat Shmuel, dedicated this year largely to Rav Tzvi Yehuda Kook, who headed Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva after the death of his father, Rav Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook.

Rav Yuval Cherlow, one of the participants, explained that Rav Tzvi Yehuda's teachings had a profound effect on Israel, since "the settlement movement is a result of his philosophy and policy."

Other speakers included Rav Yair Gizbar, Rav Yehoshua Shapira, Rav Yaakov Madan and Rav David Dudkevitz.

The rabbis were followed by a Knesset members' panel with the participation of Minister Daniel Hershkowitz, MK Uri Ariel and MK Zevulun Orlev.
