Internal Israeli tourism to the capital increased in November. Statistics showing that 58% more Israelis slept in Jerusalem hotels compared to November of last year were received with smiles in the municipality. Shosh Leket, who directs the city\'s tourism department, attributed the increased number of visitors to 1) the large discounts being offered by hotels and tourist sites and 2) the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the Holy City. She said that despite the difficult economic slowdown and the threat of terror, Israelis prefer vacationing in Jerusalem.
