Leaders of Israel\'s disabled community vowed last night to continue their protests after their meeting with Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Shlomo Benizri failed to yield results. Earlier, they blocked the main highway to Jerusalem as part of their campaign to demand increased government assistance. In another budget battle, the Labor party - a critical part of Prime Minister Sharon\'s national unity government - said it would demand that the Negev Law be reinstated in exchange for the party\'s support for the budget. The Negev Law, which took effect only several months ago, provides significant benefits to the residents of the beleaguered Negev area.
