MK Ahmed Tibi, notorious for his remarks against the State of Israel, condemned on Wednesday the horrific murders of four Jews at the Otzar Hatorah school in Toulouse, Channel 2 News reported.

According to the report, Tibi posted a message to his Twitter account in which he wrote, “A heinous crime in Toulouse .... a vile murder. The Palestinian people do not need those who shoot children to protect them. Enough!”

Earlier on Wednesday, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salaam Fayyad said that extremists must stop using "the Palestinian cause" as a justification for terror.

"It is time for these criminals to stop marketing their terrorist acts in the name of Palestine and to stop pretending to stand up for the rights of Palestinian children who only ask for a decent life," Fayyad said in a statement.

Tibi’s remarks come after a string of anti-Israel statements and actions, including praising the Palestinian Authority’s “martyrs” at a ceremony recently held on the occasion of "Palestinian Martyrs Day” and sponsored by PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

“In the history of the peoples and their battles, the Palestinian shahid (martyr) is the height of glory,” Tibi said. “There is no higher value than death for the sake of Allah. The martyr is the one who breaks through and with his blood draws the journey to freedom and liberation.”

"The shahid is a symbol of the homeland,” he added. “I want to offer my blessings to the thousands of martyrs in the homeland and in exile, and congratulations to our and your shahids inside the Green Line, those whom the occupier wants to refer to as terrorists while we say that there is nothing higher than those who die for the homeland. That occupier is the real terrorist and in Israel he is considered a hero or a cabinet minister.”

The Knesset Ethics Committee later issued a "severe reprimand" to Tibi over the speech.

A State Comptroller’s report recently revealed that Tibi’s Raam-Taal party used public taxpayer funding to pay for engraved plaques, which it awarded to six terrorists who took part in the assault on IDF soldiers on board the Mavi Marmara.

Before he condemned the attack in Toulouse, the Knesset Ethics Committee rebuked Tibi and three other Arab MKs for attending a conference in Doha, Qatar, last month. In addition to Tibi, MK Hanin Zoabi and MK Talab El-Sana were rebuked.
