The Egged bus company is introducing a new bus service to accommodate religious residents of Ashdod traveling to Bnei Brak. Egged removed several rows of seats to clear a space for Shacharit (morning prayer) services during the morning hours. Vishnitz Hassidim are organizing the prayers, on a special bus which bears the code 111. Rabbinical seminary (kollel) students living in Ashdod and studying in Bnei Brak are the main commuters on that line.
Egged Bus Cooperative spokesperson Ron Ratner said that the move is another example of Egged\'s ongoing effort to accommodate its passengers.
