Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman sharply criticized Arab MK Hanin Zoabi on Monday.

Lieberman’s criticism came following an interview Zoabi gave to Channel 2 News on Saturday night in which she said, “Now comes the time when the oppressed Palestinian lifts his head and tells you enough. You have the right to self-determination as a Jew, but not on my account. This is my homeland and that should be recognized. There is no right to a normal life to a nation which is an occupier.”

Speaking during a meeting of the Yisrael Beiteinu faction and quoted by Channel 10 News, Lieberman responded to Zoabi’s comments and said, “I have not seen so much hatred for the Jewish people and for the people of Israel in a long time.”

“I have never seen such zoological hatred towards the country in which she grew up,” added the Foreign Minister. “She doesn’t have even one good word to say. It’s intolerable.”

Lieberman emphasized that he intends to file a complaint against Zoabi with the Knesset’s Ethics Committee. “Zoabi does not want to see the State of Israel existing. I would suggest to anyone who has a minimal illusion that the opposite is true to watch this interview again.”

Zoabi, an elected member of the Israeli parliament, is notorious for her statements and actions against the Jewish State. She was aboard the Mavi Marmara during the 2010 Gaza flotilla which was organized by IHH terrorists. Her fellow passengers sought to lynch Israeli naval commandos who boarded the ship in accordance with international maritime law.

It is widely believed Zoabi could not have been unaware that the attempted murder of Israeli soldiers was about to occur, but took no action to stop the attack or warn the soldiers. The soldiers, who first attempted to use less-than-lethal arms to defend themselves, were eventually forced to use live fire resulting in the deaths of nine Turkish nationals.

Most recently, a photo was published which shows Zoabi rubbing elbows with well-known Hamas figures. The photo, recovered with a cache of intelligence data in December, shows Zoabi alongside four known Hamas members, two of whom have served time in Israeli prisons for alleged involvement in a terror organization.

Last week, Zoabi was confronted by angry Jewish residents of Kiryat Arba and Hevron as she visited Hevron’s Arab residents.

Nationalist activists have announced their intention to visit Nazareth on March 11 and hold a demonstration against Zoabi and her Balad party.

In his remarks, Lieberman also addressed the attack on two IDF soldiers in Haifa on the weekend and said it was nothing short of a terror attack.

“The attackers are not thugs but terrorists for all intents and purposes,” he said. “This is reminiscent of the lynching in Ramallah. This is a terror attack and an attempt to murder.”

The attack took place near Rambam Hospital in Haifa, and was fended off by the soldiers and security guards who helped defend them.
