Four Israeli border policemen were wounded this afternoon, when security forces entered Jenin in pursuit of Arabs, intercepted en route to murder Jews in the Ganim-Kadim region, east of Hadera. Surprised before they could reach their intended victims, the Arabs open fired, hurled grenades, and then fled to a house on the outskirts of Jenin, which the troops promptly surrounded.
The Israel Air Force dispatched helicopters to the scene, and they fired into the house and at other armed Arabs in the vicinity. IDF tanks also fired shells into the house. Throughout the battle, Israeli commanders called upon the terrorists to surrender. The Arabs report one dead and two injured.
