Among those who took part in the Bnei Akiva youth movement’s tree planting events across the country on Wednesday were also members of the movement’s Shevet Yuval.
The members of Shevet Yuval are students with disabilities who take part in regular activities as would any other group. Yuval students, both religious and non-religious, also take part in the movement’s general activities which include trips, camps, volunteering and more.
According to Adiel Bar Shalom, Bnei Akiva’s Coordinator of Social Involvement, “The students of Shevet Yuval will join this year’s tree planting events. We see great importance in involving all the students of the movement in the tree plantings. The logistics and organization which are required to make the event accessible for the disabled students is a regular part of Bnei Akiva’s work and we are very happy about that.”
