Arabs lying in ambush opened fire on a Jewish driver from Karnei Shomron this evening, wounding him seriously. Military sources say that 35 bullets hit the vehicle. Moshe Rosenfeld, an ambulance crew member from Karnei Shomron, heard the victim relate what happened before he lost consciousness: \"He saw the three terrorists who shot at him approaching his vehicle. He shot at them and is pretty sure that he hit at least one of them… Then they stole his gun.\" The motorist in fact killed one his Arab assailants.



Dr. Meir Oren of Hadera\'s Hillel Yaffe hospital said that the victim remains in \"very serious\" condition. He was rushed to surgery for gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach.
