More than 130 motorcyclists converged on Samaria Friday, most of them getting their first true view of the Jewish presence.
“The very fact that we came here is evidence of the respect we have for the settlement movement,” said Yankleh Weintraub of the “Parliamentary Riders Club.”

“The biggest enemy is ignorance,” said Regional Council Chairman Gershon Mesika, who noted that a Knesset Member once visited and asked, “Where is Gush Katif,” the group of Jewish communities located in Gaza, in southern Israel, before the Sharon government destroyed it in 2005.
Most of the “easy riders” were from the metropolitan Tel Aviv area and never had visited Samaria in their lives. Mesika said that the group of cyclists, who included men and women, could clearly see the promise of HaShem who told Avraham to look “to the west, east, north and south” because He would give all of the Land of Israel to the Jews.
Land of Israel Residents’ Committee chairman Benny Katzover said that the “See Samaria” project is ”our answer to the wave of media incitement against Jewish life in Judea and Samaria. We bring citizens here to see Samaria with their own eyes, allowing them to feel and connect with Zionism without interference from biased media.”
