Police and rescue workers reported an open miracle in the Geula neighborhood of Jerusalem on Tuesday after a tractor overturned on a passing car.

At roughly noon (GMT+2) the driver of the tractor lost control of his vehicle causing it to overturn on a car containing a father and his children. Police say the accident appears to stem from the tractor's center of gravity being overloaded due to driver negligence.

When police and rescue workers arrived they found the occupants of the car were unharmed despite the vehicle being severely damaged with the tractor on top of it.

Hazi Roth, one of the rescue workers, said the family's escape from death was an open miracle.

"There was concern this could have ended far worse," Roth said. "The driver lost control of the tractor overturned and crushed the car. The occupant's escape is an open miracle."
