The Palestinian Authority wants more control over PA Arabs in Lebanon, a move that would strengthen PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s demand to flood Israel with Arabs claiming Israel as their homeland.

Azzam al-Ahmad, a member of the Central Committee of Fatah, which is headed by Abbas, lives in Ramallah but is responsible for PA Arabs living in Lebanon and has talked with Lebanese officials about establishing a new security body, according to the Beirut Daily Star.

He proposed dissolving the Fatah Movement’s Armed Struggle in Lebanon with the more moderate sounding name "Social Security Committee."

If the idea is approved, the Palestinian Authority not only would be responsible for security but also would have a legal branch in PA Arab villages, referred to as refugee camps by the United Nations and most media.

One of the basic demands of the Arab world for a peace agreement with Israel is the immigration to Israel of approximately five million Arabs from Lebanon and other countries who are termed “Palestinians.”

Virtually the entire Israeli political spectrum, except for Arab Knesset Members, has dismissed the idea, which would effectively reduce Jews to a minority.
