Several families of terror victims joined with the families of Jewish security prisoners, soldiers, and civilians on Monday to demonstrate outside the home of Justice Minister Yaakov Neeman.
The protest, demanding Jewish security prisoners be released following the release of 1,027 terrorists for the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit, follows a similar request by Interior Minister Eli Yishai (Shas) for the Jewish prisoners' release.
The protesters said a situation where in Israel soldiers and civilians remain imprisoned for 'security offenses' when Arab terrorists convicted of mass murder are released or kept in conditions likened to five-star hotels, is intolerable.
"The injustice of the discrimination cries to the high heavens," the protesters said. "The Israeli government, and especially the minister responsible for petitioning for hundreds of amnesties to release terrorists, must also release these Jews."
Some of the demonstrators have lost family members and loved ones in the attacks carried out by terrorists released under the Shalit deal.
They said: "If the minister released the killers of our peoplel, unfortunately, how dare he not release these Jews?"
Neeman is no stranger to protests. After the details of the Shalit deal were released, protests erupted outside his home, with one demonstrator making it to his front door before being stopped by security guards and police.
