Border Police foiled a possibly fatal terrorist attack at the Patriarchs’ Cave in Hevron Sunday morning and arrested the young knife-wielding attacker.

The terrorist was carrying a 6-inch long knife and admitted he intended to stab Jews. Police confiscated the knife and arrested the youth for questioning.

Four days ago, a Palestinian Authority woman tried to stab Jews at the Gush Etzion junction, south of Jerusalem, but soldiers guarding the intersection prevented the attack and arrested her.

The female terrorist, who had shouted "Allahu Akbar" and “Death to Jews,” threw her knife down and dropped to the ground after she saw one soldier raise his weapon at her.

Terrorists succeeded Saturday afternoon to stab and seriously wound a teenager in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem.

A massive manhunt has failed to yield the terrorist. The victim is in stable but serious condition.

The new spate of terror follows the agreement by Israel to release 1,027 Arab terrorists and security prisoners in exchange for the safe return of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit.
