Deputy Minister for Development in the Negev and Galilee Ayoub Kara said Tuesday terrorists released in the Shalit deal needed to be deported and could not be allowed to remain in Israel.

"We have to send all the terrorists out of Israel, and if they return to Israeli territory we must fire upon them," Kara said.

Kara added, "Any sensible person understands that the death penalty should have been given to the murderers of the Fogel family in Itamar. We must not make more deals that endanger the citizens of Israel."

MK Ronit Tirosh (Kadima) referred to pictures from Gaza and Ramallah, "Compare the weakened appearance of Gilad Shalit to that of the prisoners Israel released - they were full of energy."

She added, "It's time to alter, to worsen the conditions of incarceration for terrorists, to limit who gets visits, education, and physical amenities beyond basic legal requirements. Hamas and the terrorists must know Israel will take an eye for an eye and terrorists will not live better in prison than at home.

"I demand that the Ministerial Committee on Legislation adopt and approve all bills submitted pertaining to this matter immediately. The appearance and condition of Gilad Shalit does not allow for any latitude on this."

Subsequent reports noted Shalit had been kept in isolation, deprived of sunlight, lost significant weight, and was limping. His father said he was suffering from several "light injuries."

Hamas held a mass rally in honor of the first 477 terrorists who were released in prisoner exchange deal, many of whom have Israeli blood on their hands. During the rally attendees chanting praise for the killers and their murderous acts against the "Zionist occupation."
