The Ministry of Religious Affairs will transfer 170,000 shekels (approximately $40,000) to local \"soup kitchens\" for the poor in several of Israel\'s poorer cities. The money was collected from charity boxes placed at the gravesites of famous rabbis and ancient figures all around the country.
