(17 December 2001 – 19:44) Three persons, including a toddler, were wounded in two terrorist shooting attacks this evening, both in the Benjamin Regional Council district of the Shomron.



In the first attack that took place at about 5:00pm, a resident of the community of Ateret was seriously wounded by gunfire that hit him in the abdomen and leg. The victim’s vehicle was targeted by terrorist gunfire while traveling on the Abud bypass road. He was transported to Beilinson Hospital.



In the second attack between “T” Junction and Ofrah on Rout 60, the victim’s vehicle was targeted by terrorist gunfire. His son, 3, was wounded by gunfire in a leg. The father, 45, was injured by shrapnel in the neck region. The two are residents of Shilo. They were transported to the trauma unit of Jerusalem’s Hadassah hospital where they are listed in light condition.
