Hundreds of people came out to celebrate the festival of Lag BaOmer on Saturday night and Sunday at the tomb of Shimon Hatzaddik (Shimon the Just) in Jerusalem.

Shimon HaTzaddik lived in the early Tannaitic period and famous for his teaching that “The world exists through three things: Torah, service of G-d, and acts of kindness.” He is also known for having appeared to Alexander the Great in a dream just before the latter bowed before him upon arriving in Jerusalem.

INN brings you a photo essay of the exciting celebrations.
