Temple Mount Faithful members conducted a procession this morning from Modiin, northwest of Jerusalem, to the Temple Mount, via Ma\'aleh Beit Horon. This, in honor of the holiday of Chanukah that began last night and that commemorates the purification of the Holy Temple by the Maccabees of Modiin over 2,100 years ago. The Temple Mount Faithful originally wanted to hold a ceremony at the entrance to the Mount, but the Supreme Court forbade this. Sympathizers of the Faithful said that this was in commemoration of the closure and defilement by the Syrian-Greeks of the Temple some 2,100 years ago.
