Temple Mount Faithful members are conducting a procession this morning from Modiin, northwest of Jerusalem, to the Temple Mount, via Ma\'aleh Beit Horon. This, in honor of the holiday of Chanukah, which began last night and which commemorates the purification of the Holy Temple by the Maccabees of Modiin some 2,200 years ago. The Temple Mount Faithful originally wanted to hold a ceremony at the entrance to the Temple Mount, but the Supreme Court forbade this. Some said that this was in commemoration of the closing off and defilement by the Syrian-Greeks of the Temple some 2,200 years ago.
