The Yisrael Sheli (My Israel) movement, a patriotic group which works to spread Zionism and pro-Israel propaganda, released on Tuesday a clip which reviews some of the predictions made by the Council for Peace and Security over the years.
The Council for Peace and Security is made up of extreme Israeli leftists who are vocally against the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. In recent days, the council began a new campaign, together with the Geneva Initiative, entitled “He Who Dares Wins”. The campaign calls on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to begin a diplomatic process with the Palestinian Authority in light of the recent events in the Middle East.
The clip shows some of the previous predictions made by the members of the Council for Peace and Security. These included supporting the Oslo Accords and the 2005 disengagement from Gaza because the council believed these would bring peace and help Israel's security. The video then shows photos which illustrate the obvious fact that all these predictions ended up achieving the exact opposite.
“The video which was uploaded to YouTube and to My Israel's Facebook page, which has over 37,000 members, seeks to teach about the abilities of the Council members to make political assessments,” said My Israel chair Ayelet Shaked. “The council members, despite their rich military past, have failed time and time again, so one wonders how they nevertheless continue to call on the Prime Minister of Israel to continue with the political process in light of the already shaky reality in the Middle East.”
