The Gaza Coast Regional Council had a busy day today. The residents commemorated both yesterday\'s landslide election of a new Council head, Avner Shimoni, as well as the dismantling of a civilian outpost at the site of the murder of Ettie Fahima. The 45-year-old mother of four from Netzer Hazani in Gush Katif was murdered last week near Kfar Darom when a terrorist opened fire at several Israeli vehicles. The residents insist that the construction of an overpass there enabled the terrorist to crawl undetected to the otherwise-well protected site. Many of them struggled with soldiers today during the evacuation, and dozens were detained for questioning. The army has closed the roads, and many residents are unable to arrive at a memorial ceremony being held tonight for yet another terrorist victim, Roni Tzalah of Kfar Yam. Prime Minister Sharon arrived in the area today, but did not meet with the residents.
