Half of Israel\'s citrus crop remains on the trees, unpicked. Despite the end of the season having arrived, the lack of manpower has prevented Israeli farmers from harvesting half their citrus crops. The head of the Council for Citrus Fruits Marketing said that in normal years, 85% of the crop has been picked by this time of year. Because of the ban on hiring workers from the Palestinian Authority, some orders from abroad have been unable to be filled and have been canceled.
