Almost three weeks have passed since Rachel Lebetkin, 28, left her apartment in Kiryat HaYovel in Jerusalem, and disappeared. No one saw her since and her family has no idea where she could be. A student at Bar Ilan University, Rachel had not been seen since Sunday morning, Oct. 17, when she set off to take a test at Bar Ilan in Ramat Gan.
Police forces, the Hatzalah rescue organization, friends and other volunteers joined the Lebetkin family Thursday in conducting a search for Rachel, or clues to her whereabouts, in the Jerusalem Forest.
A police helicopter, jeeps, and Hatzalah's Tomcar all-terrain vehicles took part in the search.
Rachel's father, Yehudah, asked yeshivas and youth movements to take part in the search.
Rachel is 1.58 meters (5'2”) tall, with honey-brown colored hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information about her is kindly requested to contact the police at 02-4545787 or cell phones 054-7459795 or 054-4545787.
The public is also asked to pray for her welfare: Rachel Rivka bat [daughter of] Aharona Zissel Sarah.
