Last week, the town of Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania was painted blue and white: Over one hundred Bnei Akiva young leaders, alumni and Israeli Shlichim (emissaries) gathered for the annual Kenes Avoda national conference which took place at Bnei Akiva's Camp Moshava Stone campus. The leaders are mainly high school students from Bnei Akiva branches from across the US and Canada, including: Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Toronto, Denver, LA, Boston, Hollywood Florida, New York, New Jersey, and many others.
The young leaders participated in professional sessions that discussed developing their Snifim (branches) in many aspects, such as: Public Relations, Education, Social action, Torah and more. During this special weekend, the participants developed their leadership skills and received practical tools that will assist with running their own local branches.
Zvika Klein, World Bnei Akiva Spokesperson, said: "During Shabbat there was a magical atmosphere that I have not seen anywhere else in the entire world. The young leaders sang and danced for hours, full of enthusiasm and soul. The ideological discussions were at a high and intellectual level, many important issues were discussed such as Aliyah, education and many more."
