Two young suicide murderers from Abu Dis, east of Jerusalem, blew themselves up shortly before midnight in a crowded outdoor restaurant area in Jerusalem, off Ben Yehuda St. The ten murdered victims were all males between 14 and 20 years old:

About 20 minutes after the double suicide attack, a car bomb exploded on Rabbi Kook St., around the corner. About 85 people are still hospitalized from the triple attack, including 14 in serious condition.

The Cabinet convened this morning, before the Haifa massacre, and decided unanimously to adopt recommendations made by Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Sha\'ul Mofaz. No Arabs from Judea, Samaria, and Gaza will be allowed to travel outside of Yesha until further notice; only food, gas, and other essential supplies will be allowed into the Arab-populated areas there.

Washington correspondents say that Bush had been planning to make some demands of Sharon, but that in light of the terrorist onslaught on Israel, the Americans are now placing the onus entirely on the Palestinian Authority.
