The number of Jews in Judea and Samaria rose by over 2.5% in the first half of 2010, and now totals some 320,000, according to Interior Ministry statistics.

An increase of 8,000 Jews in the first half of 2010 was registered in the Population Registry of the Interior Ministry – a growth rate nearly three times that of the rest of Israel.

The number of Jews in Judea and Samaria now totals some 320,000 – more than triple the number before the Oslo process in 1993. This is in addition to another 330,000 or more in areas of Jerusalem liberated in the Six Day War.

The total population in Israel at the end of June 2010 was 7,619,600, up from 7,555,000 at the end of 2009 – a 1.7% annual rate of increase.
