A demonstration calling for the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit took place Sunday morning across from the government offices in Jerusalem. At the same time, a group of activists gathered nearby to hold a counter-protest against the calls to release Shalit at any cost, even if that entails the release of top terrorists who are responsible for the murder of many Israelis.
The activists led by David Ish-Shalom explained that they came to "strengthen the Prime Minister and tell him - 'Yes to the release of Gilad -- not at any cost.'" As seen in the following video filmed by Yonatan Tokatli ("Tatzpit"), Police forces stopped the counter-demonstration and did not let it the activists protest.
The "release Shalit" protest was allowed to continue.
