Summer vacation began a few weeks ago, but according to Jewish law (Halacha) the time for musical events and performances only started Wednesday, as the three weeks of mourning for the destruction of the First and Second Temples ended with the fast of Tisha B'Av.
One of the rules regarding the three weeks is to refrain from musical events and joyful celebrations.
The Torat Hachayim Religious Educational Institutes decided to kick off the "Summer Music Season" with a special evening which featured two of the stars of the Jewish music scene - Udi Davidi and Sinai Tor - as well as a number of Rabbis who spoke words of Torah and spiritual strengthening. Arutz Sheva TV was on the scene and gives you a taste of the tunes and rhythms. Click, sit back and enjoy.
