An Israel Air Force aircraft fired Tuesday afternoon at Arab terrorists from the Islamic Jihad group near Beit Lahya in Gaza, killing three of them. Video footage shows the terrorists' last moments and the rockets that were launched in different directions as a result of the explosion from the IAF missile.

The attack was a response by the IAF to the firing of short range rockets at Israel yesterday and today. The rockets were fired by terrorists in Gaza, which is ruled by terror group Hamas and serves as a base from which Israeli civilians are attacked.

IDF soldiers Tuesday morning killed two armed terrorists who infiltrated into the Eshkol district in the Gaza Belt area. The soldiers were not wounded.

The terrorists had infiltrated through or under the Gaza security fence, and the IDF immediately closed all roads leading to four communities in the area. The local school was closed, and residents were asked to remain in their houses.

Eshkol Regional chairman Chaim Yalin told Arutz Sheva, “We are forced to struggle with these incidents every day. We are not in Tel Aviv."

All of the communities are located near the Gaza security fence, through which terrorists frequently reach the Negev by either cutting the fence or infiltrating by way of underground smuggling tunnels.

Tuesday's clash with terrorists came several hours after Gaza-based terrorists attacked the area with a Kassam missile, which scored a hit on a shelter near a farm of greenhouses. No one was wounded.

The IDF has retaliated almost immediately after previous rocket attacks and bombed tunnels and weapons factories three times in the past week.
