While the number of academics who prefer developing their career and research outside of Israel is on the increase, Israeli universities are putting much effort and money into the attempts to bring selected professors and doctors back to the homeland.
Arutz Sheva TV spoke with Doctor Doron Gerber, a "returning scientist" who was brought back to Israel by Bar Ilan University, and Proffesor Harold Basch, the university's Vice President for Research. Prof. Basch states that while the Universities can try to bring back "the best of the best", the state must cancel the cut in the higher education budget -- a cut which he says is causing the "brain-drain".
