Palestinian Authority Arabs hurled rocks at Israeli vehicles traveling near Ma'ale Amos in the Gush Etzion area on Sunday. No one was injured, but several vehicles were damaged in the attacks.

There were rock attacks in several other locations as well;  Arabs threw rocks at Israeli vehicles on the Alon Road near the Jewish community of Kochav HaShachar, north of Jerusalem, and near Beitar Illit, slightly to the south of Jerusalem. No one was injured, although several vehicles were damaged in both incidents.

Sunday afternoon, IDF soldiers arrested a PA Arab who refused to stop his vehicle and instead tried to break through a security checkpoint near the Samarian city of Tul Karem. Suspecting that he was a terrorist, the soldiers fired at the vehicle and disabled it. The driver was slightly injured and was taken for questioning.

IDF troops arrested two PA Arab fugitives in Samaria overnight Saturday and early Sunday morning. Both were arrested in the Shechem area, and transferred to Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) personnel for questioning.

In Gaza, two terrorists were killed in an explosion. Arab media did not report the cause of the blast.

Synagogue Desecrated

Swastikas, anti-Semitic graffiti and PLO flags were found scrawled on the wall of a synagogue on HaSeora Street in the coastal city of Yafo (Jaffa) early Sunday morning when worshipers arrived for the morning service. Police are investigating.

Last weekend, a synagogue in the port city of Ashdod was found with similar anti-Semitic graffiti scrawled on its walls.
