The Tuesday Night Live TV show will hold a Yom HaZikaron (Memorial Day) special this Sunday, featuring a live interview with Major General Doron Almog, who was a main participant in the hostage rescue operation in Entebbe, Uganda in 1976.

He was both the first to arrive and the last to leave Uganda. General Almog also helped rescue Jewish Ethiopians in Operation Moses from 1984 to 1985 in clandestine airlifts of over 6,000 people.

Also, speaking will be Rabbi Stewart Weiss, father of Staff Sgt Ari Weiss who was killed in 2002 fighting Hamas. On the evening of Sep. 30, 2002, in a raid against Hamas terrorist headquarters in Shechem, Sgt. Wiss was killed in an exchange of fire while saving the life of a fellow soldier. Tuesday Night Live will honor him as part of the collective memory of all our heroic fallen soldiers.

An acapella musical performance will be given by the Ramatayim Men's Choir.

Tuesday Night Live is hosted by Israel National Radio show hosts Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel, both of whom are reserve officers in the Israel Defense Forces.

The program is taped in front of a live studio audience and subsequently broadcast on the Internet and on Time-Warner cable. Among the popular segments is Meet the Streets, in which Ari and Jeremy ask a particular question of passers-by in Jerusalem. Free snacks and vendors selling books, artwork and more will take place in the front lobby.

The special Memorial Day program will take place Sunday (not Tuesday as is normal) April 18th at Heichal Shlomo in Jerusalem, next to the Great Synagogue. The show begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. To reserve tickets, email tickets@thelandofisrael.com.
