An electrical fire broke out in the cellar of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s office on the Sabbath, causing light damage. No one was injured.

Nearby documents were safe despite the smoke and flames in the area, several floors underneath the office, where Cabinet meetings also are held.

Four fire crews rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire.

Investigators said there was no indication of arson and that an electric box apparently started the blaze. Official initially reported only that the fire broke out "somewhere" in the building but later released details when it was clear there was no damage or apparent criminal activity.
