The World Zionist Organization (WZO) has produced a new children’s Haggada, relating the Jewish people’s Exodus from Egypt, in 15 different languages to help Diaspora youngsters learn more about the holiday.

Passover begins Monday night, when the traditional "Seder” ceremony includes the reading of the Haggada. Outside of Israel, the ceremony is conducted on the following night, also.

Parts of the Hagaddas are in Hebrew as well mother tongues, along with explanations and illustrations geared for children. The WZO said its objective is it to bring Diaspora children closer to the holiday and allow them to follow more closely the reading of the Haggada and learn and participate in the customs of Passover.

The Haggadas are available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Hungarian, Russian, Croatian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Norwegian, Turkish and Portuguese.

Helping children to learn about the holiday will strengthen the bonds among Jews in the Diaspora and enrich their Jewish heritage, the WZO added.
