U.S. Maj.-Gen. (ret.) David L. Grange, former DCO of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, addressed the Jerusalem Conference on Wednesday afternoon.
He began with a brief overview of the capabilities and goals of the "violent extremist organizations" such as Hizbullah, noting, "They want us dead -- mainly Israelis and Americans." He said they "use the internet probably better than we do," that their "use of information as a means of influence is extraordinary," and that "they use civilians on the battlefield as shields."
Gen. Grange said that it was important for a country to have a message and to get the truth out; he asked rhetorically if Americans know what their government's message is. He then laid down a series of target objectives for a country at war. Watch the ten-minute video:
