The Foreign Ministry is recruiting jurists to fight for Israel on the international legal front. The ministry announced Thursday that it is “looking for professional jurists, with strong motivation and readiness to work in a dedicated way, in a fascinating field that includes national, personal and professional challenges.”

The public tender will recruit seven jurists in the field of international law, who will be positioned “on the front lines of the legal campaign against Israel,” in jobs that are a Jewish mother's dream come true, more or less.

The official announcement explained that the Foreign Ministry “is facing widespread legal activity against Israel, in forums and international tribunals, committees and UN inquiry commissions, human rights groups' reports and attempts to initiate legal proceedings against senior Israelis in courts abroad. This activity has legal ramifications as well as diplomatic and informational ones.”

"In order to better deal with these ramifications, the Foreign Ministry has decided to meaningfully reinforce the staff of the ministry's legal bureau, and to publish a tender for recruiting seven new jurists for the bureau. Some of the new jurists will also work with departments that deal in artistic law, diplomatic and consular law, additional areas of international law as well as Israeli law.”

Applicants are required to have a license to practice law in Israel and to know both Hebrew and English. The full terms of the tender are available on the Civil Service Commissioner's website.
